Expedition Survivor is a survivors-like action game where you explore dangerous ruins, uncover ancient tombs, collect artifacts, and build a customizable companion formation around your explorer.

Your companions are anchored to your formation based on the direction you are facing. As you turn, your entire formation rotates with you. A companion fixed at a 90° angle will stand to your right while facing east, but will move above you when facing north.

Carefully position your companions, manage hunger and thirst, and survive long enough to complete your expedition.

This game was created for the The Very Serious Dev Game Jam .

My interpretation of the theme is centered around your companion formation. Instead of companions orbiting freely, they rotate around your explorer whenever you change your facing direction. Learning how to position your formation is the key to survival.

• Discover weapons that affect companions positioned in front of or behind your explorer.
